Does the material fit the governing binder, mix, owner, agency, procurement, or innovation pathway requirements?

Responsible asphalt sustainability has three conditions.
A good sustainability decision lowers impact, protects reliable supply, and verifies durability. If one of those conditions is missing, the claim may still be a useful direction of travel, but it should be qualified before it becomes a public promise.
Lower impact
Use LCA, EPD, plant data, recycling evidence, and logistics review to identify what genuinely moves the environmental result.
Reliable supply
Check whether the binder, modifier, softener, RAP, bio-derived input, or secondary liquid can be supplied consistently enough to support the claim.
Verified durability
Protect the pavement or product outcome with laboratory, specification, construction, and field-performance evidence before declaring victory.
