Pavel Kriz, PhD, P.Eng., has 25+ years of asphalt and bitumen technology experience across research and development, refinery support, laboratory leadership, customer technical service, marketing-facing support, Lean Six Sigma improvement, technical training and industry advocacy.
At Imperial Oil / ExxonMobil, Pavel held the Principal Asphalt Engineer role, providing senior technical direction for asphalt strategy, product quality, specifications, customer support and global technical capability within one of the world's largest energy and asphalt supply organizations.
Selected technical achievements include asphalt crude-slate and property-prediction methods, CI-based production and quality optimization, global asphalt QA programs, RAP and virgin-binder blending work, phase-stability research, and phase-angle specification work that helped move advanced rheology into AASHTO practice.
He has also provided industry-wide leadership as Eurobitume President and Chair of the Asphalt Institute Technical Advisory Committee.
